Window motor

I am replacing a window motor on a 95 grand am. There is coil band spring that fell out when i removed the motor from the gear. do i have to put tension on it when i put it back into place? any help on this or any part of the reinstall will be appercated

that happened to me, the coil fell out when i was putting the window up. I haven't gotten a chance to look at it.
