cruise control light

Hi all, I had a 2002 GA GT, & when I engaged the cruise control a green light that stated "cruise" lit up on the gage cluster. I purchased the 30th anniversary 2003 GA GT1 & the light does not come on? Is this one of the many little things that Pontiac decided to take out?, or is the light not working? If so does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram of the cruise control system for the 1999-2002 Grand Am GTs? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time.
