I was driving through town and my car just died.. I had to drift off and stop on the side and restart it.. The only lights that came on were my oil light and battery light.. Anyone have a clue why this happened? I had though I left the clutch out and it died that way but it would have jumped and it didn't it just died...

Seeing as your car is an '03 model it would be under factory warranty. I'd take it in to get it looked at. As far as why it died, it could have been a multitude of things, your info is much to vague. Yes, the battery and oil light will come on when the engine stops running, but is no clue to the problem. Since you said it just died all I could suggest are the following...........

Things it could be:

Crank sensor
Ignition Module
Coil Packs
ECM Failure

I don't really know what to say.. cause I had no idea it died until I went to press the gas and it wouldn't go.. I couldn't even tell..

I had that happen to mine once while I was going up the road, it just died while i had my foot down. It wouldn't crank back up either. I put it in neutral, pushed it back home (with some help from a kind neighbor) and it started right back up once I got it home. It had a strong smell of burnt gasoline for a few minutes and then it was fine.

I took it to a shop, they couldn't find anything and I haven't had a problem again in 8 months.

My problem might not be related to yours at all however.

If it's under warranty definatly take it in and have it looked at. :agree:

Quick guess, fuel pump.

but take it in and play the waiting game to see what they find. Don't blow the warrentie.

OK this may not help any, but I thought I'd add an observation of mine. When I have the key in the ACC (accessory) position the only lights I see are the Battery and Oil light. If the key is in the ON position but engine is not running, the Service Engine Soon light is on as well. If that light is not there might it be a problem with the PCM? Not that I'd recommend fixing it if it is under warranty...would be nice to know though.
