I am trying to remove my hub caps from my 94 GA and i was told by my dad that i would have to take the entire wheel off just to get the hub cap off. He also told me there are three lugs that are biger than the others that i can take off also. I'm getting confused by this. N e one know how to remove a hub cap w/o taking the entire wheel off??

No need to take the wheel off. If stock, the 'hubcaps' bolt on... right over the actual lug nuts. Put your wheel wrench over the plastic lugnuts on the hubcap and gently loosen them. When all 5 are loose, the hubcap should pull off.

When putting it back on, be sure not to over-tighten the plastic lug nuts on the hubcap. They only need to be snug, otherwise you could easily crack them.

On my 94 you have to take off the lug covers 5 SS caps that screw over the backs of the lugs nuts then you would have to remove two or three of the five lug nuts to finally take the actual hubcap l off.

i just did this a few days ago on my 94, take off the lug covers (i was missing most of mine) then take a close look at the wheel cover, you should see 3 of the lug nuts are holding the cover on, the chrome thing in the middle is part of the cover itself, take those 3 off and the cover just comes right off, then be sure to put the lug nuts back on then put ur new covers on or whatever ur doing,
ps., never let a shop put ur rims on with an air gun unless they know what the hell they are doing cause my lug nuts were on so damn tight that i actually twisted off one of my lug bolts trying to get the nut off, and all the rest of them were on way to tight, i was standing on a breaker bar and they would barely budge so watch out for that
