Stupid Glue!

Alright.. well it finally happened.. my interior rear view mirror has finally shaken off of its glue due to me playing my system.. crap.. any idea what type of glue i should use to put it back on?

Goto a parts store and pick up glue that is made to mount your rear view mirror.

When used as advised it will hold as good or better than original.

That happend to mine, except mine also had a hex screw in it which gave way. Probably do to my awesome sound system? :???: lol

I put it back on with SuperGlue® and a flat head screw. It hasn't fell off in over a year now.

Bah...dont use super glue! :mad: Go to a parts store and pick up Permatex #88144, rearview mirror adhesive. I doubt that it was your stereo, most all of the time its from extreme temputures, either too hot or too cold.

hehehe aint too hot or cold here jayhawk. it was only 25C today and my car has been in a lot worse with the windows rolled all the way up. but thx for the type of glue i should get

I used bathroom silicone. Worked great for 4 years and counting!
