Under the oil pan

Have the oil pan dropped and am curious where exactly the pickup is, and maybe the pump screen too. I want to clean them while I have the pan off and am unsure what I am looking for.

I have found things and figured out where the bolts are to remove things More than once. I run to the parts store and look at what I'm replacing or looking for. That way too, it is eaiser to see if your stuff is in bad shape or ok. Or if the part they think they want to sale you is the right one for your car.

Starting about 2B13 in my Haynes you have some photos that might help. Shop manual has much better illustrations. See if you can borrow one at a library?

Well if the pan is off..... the oil pickup is right there about to smack you in the face!
