Hi
I bought my 91 G/A about 3 weeks ago, and its a wonderful car. Red, 2.5L, 5 speed, etc. Its a great car, no rust, great body condition.
Thing is, it doesn't have a tach, and Im confused on how to install it. I have a Hayens manual for it, but I dont see the tach signal for the 2.5L.
Any ideas?

I picked up my tach signal in the main wireharness in the engine compartment rightnear the driverside hood hinge.
I believe it is a white wire in that harness (I can't really tell because I have the harness loomed & zip tied and I don't have any more colored zip ties to replace them if I cut it)

Steve is right, it is a white wire, its the only one in there . Splice into it after the rest of your wires are hooked up
Green wire from tach is the signal wire which goes to the white wire in the harness
Red goes to your fuse box to the Acc/On (so when you turn your key to the on position) it powers the tach
Black is ground
White wire from tach is the light wire so when you turn your lights on the tach lights up
Need any help just ask. Jr

Ok, the install took my uncle and I 3 hours, but we got it done. We found the tach signal out under the hood, but not in the kick panel/near the firewall inside. So we had to route the wire thru the door and out under the hood. It works good though, I just can't find my redline yet...
