well on your car being a 91 like mine it is DIS(Distributorless Igniton System) all we have are 2 coils and some spark plugs along with 4 wires

The plugs are right in front as soon as you open the hood you should see 4 plugs with the wires
to change your plug wires ....follow them from the plug to the back of the engine where the coils are located.. Always remember remove one wire at a time, and match it with the 4 new wires so you can replace it with the correct length

if you have any more questions just feel free to ask me or pm me on here. good luck with the tune up

oh yeah don't forget to GAP the spark plugs to the right gap.

Thanks for the post

The +4's are pre gapped, so no worries there.

Will I have to remove my intake and alternator, they look as if they are in the way. Hope not.

I forget, but you may have to at least loosen up your alternator, ad your definately going to have to take off your air cleaner assembly (not your intake manifold).

The only pre fitted plug wires I found were made by Splitfire. In other words they aren't a universal plug wire, they're made to fit the 2.5. Fortunately for my they were blue so it went perfect for my car, but blue might not be the color wires everyone is looking for, but they definately made a difference. I got a lot smoother acceleration with my Bosh platinum plugs and the splitfire wires.

They may say the plugs are Pre Gapped. But I bet if you get a gauge and check them you will find them to be set different.

You are going to go through quite a bit of work to do this job. Why not take a extra few minutes Now and check the plugs. That way if you are still having some problems...you know your plugs are new and set right. No need to pull them again.

waist two minutes now to save two hours later.

I don't think you can check the gap on these plugs. If you look at them it appears there is no way to fit a gauge on them.

I have not looked at them so I may be wrong.
But a spark plug has two points that spark jumps between. That is the area you check with a gauge...

A spark plug for my 2.3 has a different gap than a 3.1 or a 2.0 and as they sell the same spark plugs to all people no matter what motor they have ( well length and what not is different) so people have to gap there plugs to fit there car.

If a plug is off by a few thousands it will change the strength of the spark.

Yes, but I think that the 4+'s have 4 places to gap, not just one. It would help if I had a pic, I'll look for one.
