very nice pacman, i'll be in n.m later this year, hopefully i can check out your car in person. also i was wondering how the tranny is holding up, i've read some recent stories of boosted gt's with trannies going out. and maybe you could pm me some info on your setup, prices and so forth. i'm looking to do a rebuild at years end. thanks

randy

thanks everyone :)
i've had the rsm kit for about 5-6 months now and the tranny is holding up pretty well. i bought a tranny cooler so it lasts longer and keeps it cool. randy, at the time i bought the kit from rsm it was $3600 US. now the kit is $4000+ if you buy the kit for your 2.4, you will need to upgrade parts of the fueling system (fpr, injectors, pump, etc). buying the kit alone makes the car run lean. right now i'm still trying to fix the problem

nice car,and how the hell you do the engine bay like that???? Ive been trying to make a custom air intake for my 2.4 and everytime a exhaust place says the bends will look crappy.

Pacman
07-24-2003, 01:48 AM
vanishing, i supercharged it. the intake now contains a blow off valve and a V9 charger. if you want an intake, i have RKSport's short ram up for sale. i also have Casper's Fuel Pressure Regulator (both are for the 2.4L's). PM me an offer (anyone) if interested :thumbup2:

thanks. no one does. usually V6's and V8's laugh at me and don't want to go. it is great seeing the driver's expression afterwards though lol

... you'd definately 'suck' me into a race, but then again, I'll race almost anything :D ... only thing is though, if you beat me while driving the GA you owe me the opportunity to bring out 'another' car to give me the advantage ... hell, by the end of the night I have to win :wink4: :rofl2: ... great little car man!

! That is one of the nicest 2.4L I've ever seen! What do you want for the short ram intake?!?! I'm looking for one myself. Wow!! I like your car man!!

Pacman

thanks for all the compliments guys :)

the muffler is Magnaflow's 14816
the air intake needs a filter and connector piece to the throttle body because the shop that installed my SC misplaced both  i'm not going there anymore. i posted it up in the for sale section if you wanna see pics :)

How does your exhaust sound? Got any sound files?

Pacman
07-27-2003, 01:27 AM
i did have a sound clip of the exhaust a long time ago but it's lost somewhere on the internet now lol

i have a video of my supercharger though. you can kinda hear the muffler in the background. the whinning sound turns a lot of heads on the street. it also has a blow off valve, which makes everyone think it's turbo :)

here's the vid guys:

why are you sorry? ... all they have to have is quicktime and it plays.

Pacman

thanks largefish. i havent seen the whole site and i didnt know that you guys had GAOTW. that's really cool
cradled, quicktime files are huge in file size and in most cases rare. most people want the files in .mpg format but i dont know how to convert it. it's all good though. if you guys dont have quicktime you might as well get it to save you in the future :D

Is that the Razzi spoiler? Was it a good fit or did you have to customize it to go? How high does it sit off of your trunk?

yeah it's the razzi :)

the spoiler fits right on without any trouble at all. it is originally made for the alero but the GA has the same trunk. the spoiler comes up about 4-6 inches

correct, it will not use the same holes as the factory spoiler. the holes for the razzi are more wide spread across the trunk. my SE didnt come with a spoiler so i never had to fill any holes in

hehe your video... the whinning sounds funny, but it sounds really good when you rev it. what causes that whinning sound? there must be a wayt o muffle it because i've seen plenty of GTP's and they don't sound like that!
