I'm really interested to see what kind of times you'll run with this. Last year when this gen. SI's debuted none of the owners at the track could break a 16.4 even with mods and I'm at sea level! Apparently the new ones are slower than the last gen?? :???:

Yes, the 99-00 SIs have a curb weight of 2560lbs and make 160bhp@7500 rpms and 111lb-ft torque at 7000rpms. Their red line was set to 8000 rpms. The estimated 1/4 mile was 15.7@90.4mph. The 02-03 SIs have a manufacturer claimed Hp of 160bhp@6500 rpms and a manufacturer claimed torque of 132lb-ft @3200 rpms. The estimated actual hp is 140whp @6200 rpms and the estimated actual torque at 124lb-ft @3200 rpms. It red lines at 6800 rpms. It weighs 2764 lbs, 204lbs more than the 99-00 SIs. The estimated 1/4 mile is 16.1 at 85.1 mph. I believe it would come down to a drivers race w/ these two.The newer SIs have more torque than the old. It gave my 00 GT a run for its money on more than one occassion. But the GT over came:D barely.

yep, the shifter takes some getting use to. I kept feeling for it in the center, but once you get use to it it seems like it belongs there. Its very comfortable.

Well I've been away for a while but I took it to the track and stock the best I could run was a 16.00@86. I have since turbocharged the car and have a best ET of 13.7@108. Tis was on stock tires. I can still knock time off that. I'm expecting low low 13's with it now.:D
