First thing, do you know if you can get a hard plastic one for your car? because when I got my front end cover last year, I wanted the plastic one, but couldn't find any for 92-95 GA's. :(

the biggest advantage of the plastic one I think is that it is easier maintenance, becuase you never have to take it off.. just give a hose down behind it, and you are good to go. On the other hand, it doesn't protect your entire front end like the full front end cover I got. If you want to just protect your hood from stones and bugs, either way should work well. The trade off with the vinyl ones is that you can remove them when you want, but you also have to take it off to wash behind it everytime you wash your car. Each have their plusses, depends on the look you want, and the amount of work you want to do.

I have a full bra. Had it almost since I've had the car (a month) and haven't seen any rock chips or anything yet on my hood. I love the bra personally.

Best thing to protect your hood is not to tailgate. Anything else will leave marks/change the paint wear pattern.

Don't tailgate he says......

The chip in my windshield? That was from a semi-truck in the oncoming lane on the highway in Colorado. It kicked up a stone that launched up and over the barrier and chipped my window.

The ding in my hood? That was from a 2x4 that was kicked up off the road by another semi-truck in Canada. He was in the lane next to me, and aparently found it with the edge of his tire... it launched and bounced off my hood, windshield, and over the car.

Most of the rest of the chips out of my hood? Most of the time, it is because a car infront of me drops a clod of dirt which disintigrates to dust and stone, which always finds my hood. I don't tailgate semi-trucks, because that is like walking up and poking someone in the eye at the office. Just not nice. Most of the time it is the dump trucks that are loosing part of their load, or other cars that fire off the stones from following those trucks... I just have a hard time keeping stones and other flying objects from hitting my car.
