I was curious where can i find a cool looking shift knob for an automatic...i've seen the ones from apc the ones w/a button on top and I don't like those at all. I wouldn't mind putting a shifter knob from a newer GA in my car, but i wouldn't even know where to get those at. Also, I found a carbon fiber T-Handle shift knob at Circuit City (amazing to find it there), do you guys think i could paint that any color, what kind of paint should i use if I can paint it? thanks:)

Levoc makes some REALLY cool CF/polished shift knobs that are very nice but expevt to pay around 70$ +shipping....
if you get a knob out of a 96-98, you can do what i did.
and NO the pink knobs are not in there anymore :roll2:

I like what you did to your shifter knob...do you think a 96-98 would fit my car? and was your shift knob plastic? if not then what kind of paint did you use...i really like the color of that paint. The pink knobs threw me off guard though:)

it was a stock SE knob...it should fit yours without any problem
its made of vinyl but its extremely stiff so it doesnt flex so regular paint can be used. I didnt even primer and it doesnt rub, smudge, smear or chip :)
but im taking it off soon for a levoc

ive found one from Ichibahn for around 62-65 bucks, its only got one button for the shifter(button hold in to get into drive or reverse) so the ETS button would be relocated which im doing.I'll find a pic of it.

hey guys thanks for searchin for me. I found a pontiac dealer that can get the shifter knob for a 96-98 only 26.00 (it's great being on someone's dealer account) yeah i like the newer shift knobs better w/the button in the front instead of the side...so i'll probably order it wednesday and have it by friday. thanks for all the help:)
k so i have a few things-
1. exactly what kind of paint should someone use on the shifter?
2. how do you remove the shifter? (i removed the clip and wasn't sure how the shifter came off, also, does the boot attach to the shifter or what?)

1. Personally I would try vinyl dye first, shouldn't wear as fast as paint would.
And, his posts were from 4 years ago and he's banned, I don't think he'll see your tip.
There, man I did NOT see that, that was almost somewhat embarrassing
