I don't know if anyone hase seen J-man's 96 AED Grand Am but hes got the artic white with pearl paint.Does anyone know how much that would run? Cuz i think that looks slick at angles when taking pictures and driving down the road, kind of like metal flake(another option im thinking about doing on my GA).

pearl is pretty cool... but u would have to sand, primer and repaint your entire car.
With pearl, you can choose the metallic color you'd want... it would be white paint w/ either blue flakes so that in the sun it would have a blue color shine to it or maybe even red or yellow. I really like the blue pearl mixed in with white.

I just recently painted my car We used Ultra bright silver with pancake size cameleon metallic i had a few drops of blue pearl mixed in, and my paint cost alone was $850 for one gal this is an imron paint which has the base color and clear mixed together they added the metallic and pearl and its sprayed all at once but the pearl and cameleon metallics is what kicked are ass price wise.

There would be no primer involved unless you did a repair or broke through to the metal for some reason. You could also put crushed pearl in your clearcoat & not have to repaint your entire car. just depends on the look your going for. I've 600 wetsanded cars & put pearl in the clear. You don't have to take the factory clear off, just abrade it so the new clear will adhere.

so since i already have a white car i would just have to have the factory clear abraded then add the pearl clear coat to it? Im not wanting a huge change to wear you see it all the time, just when you look at it at certain angles or in different lighting,etc...

You can, it won't come out like the pearl whites like on, lets say an Olds Aurora (Not sure how it's spelled) But many unique looks can be achieved by just adding whatever color of crushed pearl you desire to a good clear coat.
