View Full Version : need replacement on fog light bulbs

guys ive looked all over to replace my fog lights bulbs. it requires a 880 bulb size but ive ask any car shop and they said they dont carry it and its complicated to look for it online. I need some help any suggestions??

The 893 bulb is a direct replacement.

someone told me it will melt your
factory fog light housing. You need the lower wattage 30w version and can i get it for PIAA the one i saw was for eurolite xenon blue

880 ... 27W
893 ... 37.5W (+/- as I don't remember 100%)
885 ... 50W
I have had the 885 bulbs in my car for over 2 years now without ANY problems but there have been some people who have melted their housing ... the choice is yours

I have the 50 watters & have had em in for over a year & my lamp houseings are fine too. Maybe it depends on the bulb manufacturer as to how hot they'll get?

OK, I just went and looked at 'one' site and this is what they say :)
Mounting Type: 880
Power Consumption: 27W Auxiliary
Mounting Type: 893
Power Consumption: 37.5W Auxiliary
Mounting Type: 885
Power Consumption: 50W Auxiliary
... either way, it doesn't matter since they are close enough that you get the picture :D

i got some yesterday at autozone, they had 880 and 885, i dont know if u have autozone where u are but maybe you could get them from http://www.autozone.com

Just looking at your engine info... Did you do a swap? HOs were not available on SEs...
