mine made it to 154k miles, and the harmonic ballancer broke, and we got such a good deal on a new engine, $200 bucks, that we replaced the hole thing. i had three spare engines sitting around that ran fine, and my dad scrapped them. bastard. they were in pontiac 6000 waggons. :2up:

my fiance's fiero has the same 2.5 engine in it and its at 190 thousand now and still runs fine with no knocking or pinging.

87 pontiac grand am, mine jus hit 71k.....very low mileage cuz my dad rarely used the car only for work (he bought it new in may of 1987). I received it back in may with 58k, i put 13k in bout 8 months. Grandi still runnin strong :D
