my air condition is got a weird smell to it when strted n for about 10 min after been running it goes away ne one know how to get rid of the smell?

I have the some problem but mine only last like 10 seconds at least.

If you're still under warranty the repair is covered. The attached document should help. :)

I was at autozone today and saw a can of ac cleaner that cleaned the mildew problem that causes this smell. I was about to pick it up but they only had 1 and the one they had must have been returned because it had stains all over it. It looked like a good idea though. You spray it into your ac recycler (they said it is under the passenger side dash)

wow, this was a huge problem with our 00 suburban... eventually we traded it in for a 02 yukon xl, come to find out it's also smelly... gmc i guess doesn't really have a fix, although...

i heard from a guy that if you turn your air off before you shut off your car, then turn it back on when you get in (duh) it is supposed to eliminate the mold growth... i've done it every now and then... but i only get the smell when it rains... being in arizona, it hardly happens :x

This is off topic but after reading tonds of threads I'm seeing that there are tons of people here from AZ. That could be a good thing and a bad thing. :agree:
