Would you trust a company that's had some major litigation about what they claim their product does: www.ftc.gov/opa/2001/02/zmax1.htm, www.ftc.gov/os/2003/03/oilchemstip.pdf?
I wouldn't put their stuff in any vehicle except a ford :D

There is no need to add anything to your oil at all. The formulations today offer plenty of protection. If you really want to get good lubrication as well as protection, just get yourself some 10W-30 synthetic or even 20W-50 synthetic in the summer months if you are worried about wear and tear at that mileage.
I used Slick50 13yrs ago in my 77 Malibu when I was uneducated about the side effects of it. However, I would never consider putting in ANYTHING other than oil alone.

MagusXIII is right. The vast majority of today's modern oils offer excellent protection. Especially the synthetics. I have used Mobil 1 in my GA since the day I bought it. I can't prove it, but I think it had a lot to do with protecting my engine when it blew the intake manifold gasket. But that is just my opinion.

Yup....ask any mechanic that's been around for awhile. The only thing that should go into a crankcase is oil....and only oil. All those additives are either gimmicks or temporary fixes to a mechanical problem. There is no miracle in a can that can stop a knock, an oil leak or give you better gas mileage.
Before my GA, I had a '92 Thunderbird with a 3.8 V-6 that I bought in '95 with 50K on the clock. I used nothing but 10-30W when I 1st got it, then switched to 10-40W when it had over 120K on it. When I traded it this March it had 266K on the clock. It never knocked or smoked and even at the mileage it had, it only used a quart between oil changes (I think it was leaking most of it). So.....as you see.....if you change your oil religiously, drive responsibly and stay away from that additive garbage.....your engine should last a long time.

An excerpt from the FTC litigation article
"The agency alleges that enhanced performance claims for the product are unsubstantiated, that tests cited to support performance claims actually demonstrated that motor oil treated with zMax produced more than twice as much bearing corrosion than motor oil alone, and that the three different products - an engine additive, a fuel line additive and a transmission additive - were all actually tinted mineral oil."
2X AS MUCH BEARING CORROSION????? MINERAL OIL??? No thanks...I'll stick to Valvoline or Mobil 10-30
