windows scratched

Here latly i have notices that my back 2 windows are getting pretty deep scratches in them. the front ones have them but not that bad. does anyone know what i should do. or how much it cost to fix them. does anyone know what causes this and is there a way after u get them fix to prevent it from happing again.

someone told me this, so im not sure how true it is. i didn't check into it. but something about your window being pulled to tight and its rubbing against the black weather stripping that has gotten dirt embedded into. the window going up and down against a piece of dirt will erode it away. i've seen it done with windshield wiper blades too. people will let the rubber part go to crap and they let the metal arm rub a hole into the window. im not sure what you could do to fix it other than loosen the window a little and clean the weather stripping. i don't know how difficult that would be though
