Is there such a thing? Right now my car has all factory equipment and everything works great. I just don't like the amount of break dust created by these pads. Is there a better alternative?
Thanks!

I used Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on my last GA and found they created less dust than the factory pads. As well Ceramic pads all but eliminate brake dust. :)

The Raybestos Pro-Grade QS pads are next to nothing on dust. They do produce dust, as any pad will, but it is kind of white in color so you really dont' see it.

Are the Reybestos pads ceramic?
I like the sound of these ceramic pads... Are there any downsides? I live in a highly populated area (Washington DC), and I drive a lot, so I end up doing some pretty intense stop and go driving. Will the pads hold up?
Thanks!

don't the F1 drivers use steel brakes or something like that??? i honestly dont know. if so i would think that solid metal brake pads wouldn't produce dust......or wear down very fast. the only drawback would be the noise. better yet, just ignore all of that

Ceramic brake pads hold up a lot longer than semi-metallics, they produce less dust, and are less prone to brake fade. Down side.............price. they can really get up there

Yes, the Raybestos Quiet Stop (QS) pad is ceramic. And they are expensive. I just installed them on my car a couple of weeks ago. So far there is very little evidence of dust, they are quiet, smooth, and give good stopping power. they did take longer to break in than I expected, but after the break in, they are quiet nice. Just remember to have your rotors resurfaced or replaced when and if you install them.

I agree, I use the Raybestos QS pads also, and I had a huge brake dust problem prior to them.

Got mine from Checker Auto. The are part of the Checker/Kragen/Schuck conglomerate. You can go to:
CSKauto.com (http://cskauto.com/)
Or you should be able to find them locally.
