I have my new carpet comming in Monday! Woo Hoo. 129.95 shipped, not bad. I have a couple of questions before I put it in.
Does anyone have any install/removal tips?
The carpet that comes stock has a rubber backing to it, how essential is this and is there a way I could recreate it on the new carpet (rhino liner?)
Thanks

try the search and type like removing/installing carpet and see what comes up or just screw around with those words to find something.Have to unbolt the seats(front two) take out the center console to get the carpet out from under it,it doesn't go all the way under just up under it some what.Thats just the basics, there prolly a few more, just try the search.I dunno the backing,i haven't seen or heard about anyone talking about having to buy anything extra to install the carpet, like the rubber backing, the new carpet might come with some sort of backing since the carpet should be a fit for your car.

Only tip I can think of is replace your carpet padding if it's musty at all... home depot usually has some real cheap stuff... and have some cinder blocks handy.. they'll really help the glue hold the carpet down.... mmm nothin like new carpet! :D
oh yeah.. one more thing.. when u get the new carpet lay it out in the sun for an hour or so.. it will really make it more pliable and the rubber backing will soften a little....

You'll also have to take off the trim around the doors to get the carpet out from under it and you will have to take the bolts off that hold the back seat down. Then it will just lift up and you can slide the old carpet out and the new carpet in.
also, i dont know if it's the same for your year but on my 94 I had to unbolt that passenger side seatbelt from the floor, as where the drivers was connected to the seat.

Is it generic auto carpet, or is it premolded and everything specifically for you car?

It's premolded. And I finally got it in today with very few mistakes. Thanks everyone.

Can you give us a guide on how to do this install? I have been thinking of getting new carpet, i am looking for HIGH quality carpet, that meets or beats the stock carpet quality.
Thank guys!
