I am under the impression that exuast and CAI help out in higher rpms but what will help me jump off the starting line? assumng all my stuff is stock, what is the best for quick-ness(<Did I just make that up, or can you add "ness" to anything?)

tires will help and brake torquing. i think torque can only be created with displacement and sometimes with certain value setups.

low end cams could do it right?

change your gear ratio. also, MAF will help.

The best for low end? Change your wheel tire combo so that the total diameter is smaller, which changes your gear ratio and lowers your gas mileage, but you will accelerate faster. Or a CAI and exaust will help the low end too, just a lot more on top.
Wider tires will help with traction, allowing you to accelerate faster. I beleive the combo that works best is a 265x35x18, but you also need to drasticly improve your suspecion, which in turn will also help you with trackion (Eibach springs and KYB or Monroe struts are the only way to go for performance)

The easist way to change your gear ratio is to get tires that are smaller diameter than stock. For example, my car came with P195/65R-15's stock. I put on P205/55R-15, which are about an inch lower, and truth be known, it DOES accelarate better!
MAF stands for Mass Air Flow. The sensor really sees how much air is going into the engines and adjusts certain parameters (fuel flow, timing) appropriatly.

I'm not absoutely certain on this point, but unless he is OBDII, I don't think he uses MAF.

That's true MAF sensors weren't on GAs until '96 when OBDII was introduced

Actually some late 95's were OBDII, and they would have MAF

I was not aware of that......You learn something new everyday :D

cai, header, exhaust, head work... more aggressive cam that is designed properly.. you'll get more jump off the line..
