View Full Version : Oil in air filter and TB area

On my 91 Grand Am, I have oil in the air filter and in that area. Its not ALOT, but it covered 80% of the filter.


Whats causing this? I replaced my filter today also.

It could be picking up blow by from a PC valve, back fire residue, a hole in the air box, etc., without pictures and better description it's hard to say

assuming that the oil is ont he outside of the filter, it is from the valve cover breather hose. its a common problem, but I wouldnt worry about it.
