Does anyone know where I can get the knobs for the heater /air controls for a 1995 gagt. I went to the dealer and they want 20 bucks for one knob and the junk yards want you to buy the whole assembly they don't want to come off the knobs. :2up: Also the knobs are clear underneath the vinyl right.

for a 95 the plastic is white underneath.

I got some from the junkyard. Call around, find another junkyard. If they let you go out to the yard, find some from one with a banged up dash, or just take some, and tell them the dash was banged up. I only paid a few bucks for some of them, but I'll be damned if I remember where I put them here :|

I like my 99 knobs. They are red underneath. But I am going to try and find some kind of clearblue paint to make them look like caraudiodaves. My whole interior is going to be blue

If you really want some free knobs, let me know how many. Everytime I go to the junk yard I grab some. Its easy enough to just yank them off and walk out. (i dont go in there for that sole purpose,, im always buying something else). So just email me with where you want them shipped to and I'll just send you a set. I'm sure it wont cost me that much to ship so I could care less about that. Let me know.

Peeling the Vinyl then painting it with a clear color to match the lighting in your car it looks tight as hell. Look up caraudiodaves picture. do a search on *pics of my new radio install* he has the blue ones I want. I just cant figure it out good.

Clear color. like blue except it is clear. Not a paint that will cover the light. Like if I took regualar blue paint the light wouldnt get through. If I had a transparent blue or * clear blue * then The light will shine through blue.

I cleared my knobs. Took me about 6 hours for all 3 of them because there was so much glue on there I had to cut most of it off with a pocket knife. Your fingers will get so sore after you finish too.

try going to a hobby shop and looking for translucent colored paint...it should work for your clear but blue (or otehr color) knobs :)
