i want to get my car oil sprayed so that it doesnt rust with evil canadian winters, but im told that you dont have to cuz ga's come with galvanized steel..:???: what do you guys think of this, and what have you done??

sigh.. i already have rust on my car :( not bad.. just 2 1x1 cm holes but it has gone through to the steel. Guess that happens when your car has 147 000 kms on it. HOw is it that it always seems to be at the rear doors? hopefully this pic helps in identifying the spots.. also the paint is all chipped off at the rocker panel at this general spot too.http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=127973

well, the lower areas or your car are the areas generally more exposed than anything higher up. Also any body seam can get hit on the end & chip easily. ( door openings, rocker seams, etc. ) That's one thing I love the Gt for. It's pretty well protected in the bottom half by all the body cladding. If you get it fixed you can get clear "rock guard" either sprayed on or there's a vinyl form also that will do the trick to help protect those chip prone areas.
