Ask John aka Aleroboy.... theres a guy that had his CAI and the SLP cat-back and got 22-23 crank hp, so yes around 15whp

7-8 whp fromt CAI and 10-12 from the exhaust.. thats from stock so 15 whp sounds like a really close estimate to me.
I doubt the figures from just those 2 mods are that high on a 3.4 GA. Show me the dyno numbers. On a recent Horsepower TV segment they did those kinds of changes on a 1996 Impala SS, and the CAI only delivered 8 HP. That from an LT1 V8.
They dynoed after every mod just to show what would happen. Don't forget, once you do one mod, the car is no longer stock, and all further HP increase claims are out the window, as most are stated 'from stock'. And they are just claims, knowing that most owners cannot dyno their cars. There is always the 'results may vary' dislcamier as well.
I would like to see the dyno sheets before I believe 22-23 HP from a CAI and cat-back on a GA/Alero. I might believe 5-10 HP or so. Just me.

you must remember bbt that 22-23 hp is HP at the crank.. not the wheels. and 5-10 hp at the wheels for a CAI and exhaust cannot be simply because a CAI has been dyno at 8 whp and the exhast at 10 -12 whp. yes you have to realise that once you add a performance part it is no longer stock so additional upgrades wont produce as much as they are from stock.. but they still add to the overall gain. so really.. 15 whp from a 8whp and a 10-12 whp doesnt seem too far off at all.

PM on another board or email Aleroboy for the dyno sheet. The car was previously stock and both mods were done at the same time.
