vibration from front end

ok I own a 02 grand am se1 with the ecotec engine well I've owned it since nov and just a few wks ago I started hearing a noise from the front end at first I thought it was cuz I was on a bumpy road but then when I was on a smooth paved road I heard it and it gets louder when I turn the wheel I gotta bring it back to the dealer.cuz I think it's a strut or the strut mount but I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this before??

well thats kinda hard to say. naturally the car is going to make a noise when the steering wheel is turned because of the pump however the noise you are talking about could be a problem with the cv joint or the cv joint boot. If the cv joint is going out it can make a noise like the one i think your are talking about

thanxs xtreame but im gonna take it to the dealer cuz it's still under warrenty and if it is the cv joint then they better be giving me a rental.but i've checked alldata for any recalls on the vibration and i haven't seen nothing.so i dunno my friends have all heard it too and most of them are mechanics so who knows

yeah you definantly need to take it in.And no there are no recalls on the 02 at this time.

well I dropped of my grand am this moring and about 2 hrs later they called me back and they found the problem and it was my driver's side strut mount bearing was broken,so they fixed that (which I kinda figured that was the problem,so Im glad my car is back to normal.YAY
