Easy one first the belt squeaks at cold start up we just it replace 4k ago any ideals?

Now the sob story

My mom got this used in 99 I love driving that 3100 v6 even thou it is 155hp it just sounds nice at 6000 rpm. Now my question is any body here who has a 97 GA or Malibu had any of these problems belt comes apart not squeal comes apart at 28k. ABS light comes on and goes back off. Messes up breaks about 3 times a year. Gauges go dead for 3 seconds this happens once a mouth. The a/c button has a mind of it own. This got me real mad in the summer, one day I was driving it and this happen I punch the side of the consol so that fixes that problem. This may had problems but it started everyday only time it really broke down was when the belt came a part. If you want to know what I mean by came apart picture pulling a thread out of your pants or shirt.
Now I got a 2001 GA SE the 2.4 is nice but I miss the 3100. My mom now drives the Malibu god why did gm build a nice cheap car that was full of problems

How cold is cold? I assume that the squeal goes away after a few minutes......

Sometimes a belt will just come apart - quality control doesn't stop EVERY bad product from making it out the door. That was likely just a fault in the belt.

The ABS situation is a result of, quite frankly, a cheap ass ABS system. I live in Canada, and road salt buggers my ABS for days - and I'm OK with that, because my car stops better without the system on anyway. If it's a real concern for you, take it to the dealership and have them check the sensors.

I can't help you with the gauges, but the A/C problem sounds simply like a loose connection - pull the centre console apart and check the wiring.

No ABS is a problem I live down here is hot Alabama. The belt makes sounds on every cold start-up it can be 90f it will still squeaks.
