GAOC video who wants one

as some of u know john,chad,rj,bob are going to be getting together and making a video. what i would like to know is who would want one? we arent going to make any money off of this, we are just going to charge what it cost us to make them. i would just like to know so we have a idea of how menny we need to make. im also going to try to put them on dvd too.

As a cheaper alternative to DVD, what about butning it to VCD format? As long as the video isn't over a couple hours, VCD should suit our purposes fine. :)

VCD works, though I have never been a huge fan of it. Even SVCD can only capture half the resolution of a DVD. If your watching it on a 12" Radio Shack B/W TV you'll never notice the difference. But the larger the TV, the worse the picture will come out. I have a 27" Sony Wega, and I don't like the way it looks. Your audio is going to be far superior in DVD format also, not that it would really matter for this project.

Also with using a conventional CD-R you are limited to 74 Mins with VCD, or 60 with SVCD. If we went DVD we could put the video, along with photo slide shows and anything else that people could think up.

Cost comparison, only about a 2.00 (US) difference.

We've got a decent amount of video, but I'm old school, the camera is a Hi8 and I don't have a capture card on the computer, so all I can do is VHS :(
