Turbo for sale?

The turbo has gone in my car, it has a crack all the way from the waste gate to the bearing journal. GM is telling me 1400 to get a new one, and i was wondering af anyone might have one laying around, or know of one somewheres that i might be able to get a hold of? Thanks

i belive ur wast gate is located on the exsaust housing, like mine is, right? the housing only costs about 300 brand new, if ur cartrage is cracked too, a new one should only be about 350,...dont go through the dealer, they will rape u. call around to any other places that deal with turbos, i got theis prices from a local place called thomson deisel. the dealer told me 1200 for a compleatly new turbo. i got mine upgraded and rebuilt for 535, with a 6 month warrenty. oh man be carefull with that return oil line, they want 125 for a new one

ya my turbo is cracked is cracked right through, cartridge and housing. It also looks like sand went through my compressor wheel, or better yet looks like chunks of file have gone through it or something. Some pretty big chunks missing out of the blades. And when i was getting it out, that oil return line was seized so i borke it taking it out, but im having another made for real cheap. But thanks for the advice, i dont seem to be getting much co-operation from local companys. But ill get er woriking again
