i think facing the truck lock is the best way, and as close to the truck lock as possiable

the only bad thing about a wall is that your car becomes virtually useless, unless you dont have more than 1 passenger at a time. id go ahead and put it in the trunk, you put enough bass back there and it dont matter if theres a seat there:D

Don't shove the box ALL the way back in the trunk, leave about 6 inches of space.

ok but what if i never have passengers in my car and the backseat is useless will it sound any better there?

Put the box in the truck, back the box up to the back seat with the subs facing the truck lock. The bass will "Bounce" back if you will and it will sound great. :agree:

it will be louder, i dont know so much about sound better. you'll probably have to make your mids/highs louder in order to hear them. usually with a wall the bass will drown out the rest of the frequences.

I tryed something in a 95 grand am a few months back that should not have worked but it did and it was the coolest thing i have ever heard. since my discovery I have done it in a few other peoples cars and it worked all the same, but never quite what the grand am did. I took two seperate pre-made sub boxes called Box Max boxes but any correctly built slot ported box will work. I used two Crossfire BMF 12's running off a single Crossfire 1000D amp. I fired each sub straight toward the inner rear fender well. Like I said it should cancel out but instead it made the most brutal bass I have ever experienced in a normal consumer car. The subs were no more than 5-6 inces away from the fender wells. trust me and try it, you won't be sorry if you do it right. If you need pics just let me know and I'll get you some. Peace out, Lee

i wouldnt bother with a wall unless i was going to put something ridiculous in there. in other words i wouldnt bother with a wall with only 2 subs, unless they were really big ones. but if you were wanting to put 4 12s with it thatd be good too.

I took a 91 olds calais thing and we tore out the back seat and slid in a set of Crossfire P1 15's and it rocked pretty hard. We kept everything below the rear window so the guy could still use his rear veiw mirror. If you don't care about the back seat thats what I would suggest. I plan on doin a full fiberglass enclosure where my back seat is to hold a single Crossfire XT15 with two 2000D's or four Crossfire BMF 12's with two 1000D's. I hope to have it done this winter for next summers competitions. I'll try and have pics on our website www.redlineaudio.com Peace out, Lee
