any ever use this deck? is it any good? i like it becuase it has a red display, and plays mp3s.

if your looking for a mp3 player with a red display, try the alpine cda-7893, its the one that i have, the display changes from green to red, this model isn't made anymore, but i'm pretty sure some of the new models feature it

as for jensen, i've never had good luck with them

i'd stear clear from jensen... anything jensen for that matter... their products are crap and will most likely fart out on you within a couple months...

i do agree with getting the alpine, tho ;)

I don't agrre w/ going Alpine 4 much longer. They announced a few weeks back that they're moveing most of thier operations outta town & to Mexico, of all places!

I disagree about the statement regarding Jenzen products...I have a 2 channel Jenzen amp powering my rear 6x9's 60Wrms each (i forget the model number of the amp)..but it has lasted well over a year and no complaints about the sound quality...any product won't last long if you don't look after it. I have a JBL 180.2 powering my fronts and MTX 6500d for my subs and all three amps are running fine for the longest time....and no fans.

Yeah, Jensen speakers are also a good buy if you just want something decent for a good price. Not top of the line, but a good value and way better than stock.

I agree there. Jensen is the 1st & oldest aftermarket auto speaker manufacturer - just an interesting bit of info.

My first amp was a jensen and it kicked it pretty good untill it was stolen. the truth of the matter is Jensen gets sold so much that they simply have good years and bad years. As of late their decks haven't been to bad and to telll you the truth they make one of the best mp3 players I've ever seen. Their amps and speakers work OK but there is definetly better stuff out there, Just trust your own ears and not just brand names. Peace out, Lee

Where are you buying it and what are you paying for it? You do know it is not a detachable face don't you?

DONT EVER GET THAT HEAD UNIT it is the worst head unit ever.i got it for the same reasom because it played MP3's and because it was red. but if your car ever EVER gets hot the laser will go bad and then it wont play CD's anymore just like mine!! yea it sucks i highly dont recomment it.

OK. Not a bad price. We had refurbished units at XS Cargo for the same amount. A few came back bad.
