Spray Paint Lines

I have recently sanded and removed as much rust from the rusty spots and taped of the areas that i painted. when i removed the tape you can see ware the line of spray paint has been sprayed. it is some what elivated. kinda looks like stickers. anway i can fet rid of the lines that it makes?

Sand it smooth & start over. This time mask a wider area & don't paint right up to your masking. When spraying, pull away from the panel towards the end of your stroke. This will taper off the amount of paint going onto the panel & will make it look misty & distorted at the edges of your painted area but that's ok. After letting it dry for sometime, w/ spray paint I'd wait untill the next day to be safe, you can wetsand those tapered areas w/ 600 grit paper & then rub it w/ a good coarse rubbing compound, followed by a light compound & finally a coat of wax. That should get you as good a blend job as you can get w/ a spray can.
