94 GP 3100 EGR valve

since this is the same engine, my grandma has a 94 GP and my dad replaced the EGR valve because its leaking exhaust out of it, its still leaking even with the new one in. he told me that it was making a metallic whistling noise, any ideas?

... did he 'crack' the gasket? Maybe the threads aren't sealing or there is a hole in a pipe :(

nope, none of those. he says the exhaust is coming from the middle of the vavle body itself, he knows thats where its coming from because it turned that part black

ok, here's what we found out, the cat. was clogged and not letting all of the gasses out which was causing the exhaust to leak forcefully out of the EGR valve
