run. i loathe bull dog. id go to a local stereo shop and find one. ive got a alpine on my girlfriends ga and it has a shock sensor and proximity sensor. i think i paid 199 or 299 for it. ive got a clifford on my truck, it was a little more expensive though. its worth the money in my opinion

I know money can be short but don't go cheap what ever you do. Remember you get what you pay for.

Has anyone every tried or know someone who has one of those alarm systems with pagers like you see on ebay. Just curious, cause the idea of it seems more securing but are they good, bad, pieces of crap or what?

If your concerned about somone scratching your car, look into something with proximity sensing. If adjusted propperly it can be set off with just walking near the vehicle. The disadvantage with that is false alarms. A cat or bird walking/flying by can set it off. Pluswith Prox. it can get more and less sensitive with the weather and humidity in the air. Think about it, by the time some one runs a key down the side of your car and destroys the paint, and you run out to see what set off your alarm, they are probably speeding away in their car or off running down the street.

so even with alarm your car can still be victim to high school punks that aint got nothing better to do but tear up peoples shit that they work hard for. I guess I should just get red of my beutiful grand am and buy a klunker.
gotta hook somethin up to your car so that it shocks the person. That'd be pretty kool. Don't know how legal it is though.

on what day of the week did your car get keyed on? was it on a weekend night? if so id stay up at night with my car on those nights and take pop shots at anyone who messed with it:D . nineteen88 had a point. even the best alarm on the market isn't fool proof. if they are determined to vandalize your vehicle they can do it and you not even have a chance. i know from experience. i have waged wars with people where anything goes. i could almost destroy your vehicle and not even get within 10 ft. of it

the brand I know and trust is DEI. They make alarms with proximidy sensors, two way paging and everything in between. Go to a local shop and I bet you will find a brand of DEI. example: Viper, Python, Avatel, Sidewinder and about a dozon other ones. Just ask if its DEI or directed electronics. Peace out, Lee
