Okay here it goes, i am looking to put a whole new system in my car and i want to go all out.
I have been looking far and tall at speakers and really had my heart set on the infinity kappa's. But i heard them today, and i personally think they were mediocre at best. To me the new Pioneer 4 ways gave a much more clear sound.
I just want everyone to give me some opinions and tell me what they have thought of old and new speakers alike. I think the best way for me to find out about a speaker is to here what others have to say.
So give me your opinions please...plus if you have a question feel free to ask it, cause the more you know or don't know is the more i will learn and will make me more aware of things when i buy something.

what size speakers do you want opinions on? i used to have a set of kenwood 6x9s that were 4 way and i loved them. in fact, i haven't found a set i've been happy with. they withstood a lot of abuse, and kept on ticking. in my girlfriends ga i have alpine type r 6x9s, and kicker resolution 5 1/4 in the doors. as far as components go resolutions are some of the best. im not saying they dont make better, but they're hard to beat. i have alpine 4x6 plate components in my truck and they sound pretty good. whatever kind of speakers you buy be sure and get some crossovers for them. some speakers come with them, some dont. a crossover can make even the factory speakers sound better.

Now I want you to forget any "name brand" speakers you have ever heard of and let your ears do the listening. You said you didn't care for the infinity's so I am going to say you have good taste in sound. I compete in sound quality and the speakers I am using right now are DEI Pro Plus components. They sound awsome and usually run just under $200. Don't let the price throw you off, these things are awsome. Another great speaker for around $150 is Crossfire SX6.0. I am personnally changing my DEIs out for Crossfire's new X components. I understand they are simply amazing, some people say they are better then Focal which is a HUGE complement! But if you want the absolute best component set in the world look no further than RS Sound. I recently heard a set of their second to bottom series and all I can say is Holy Sh*t. It was the best thing I have ever heard and I can't beleive they make a speakers even better then the set I heard. But you pay for them.....$650 for a set. The store I work at sells Crossfire and soon RS Sound. If you want to hear crossfire go the their web site www.crossfirecaraudio.com and go to a dealer locator. As far as RS Sound not to many shops carry them but if you are a true car audio nut they are what you are looking for, I guarantee it! If you want to chat about subs let me know. Peace out, Lee
