dangit, what's the major difference between all of these? i noticed the watt input is about 16 or so more then the "entry level unit (sloc), but does it really make a difference? the next step up is about $20 more bucks, and the entry one is like $5. is there a big difference in quality? i thought in this case a signal was just a signal, but apparently not.
here is the site with the units:

btw, i need this for my amp to rear speaker(s) connection.
thanks a bunch!

With a line converter there's two things you need to look at:
Input: How many watts the signal/source wiring that your speaker wire has running through it. Stock radios are usually somewhere between 10-40 watts peak, 5-25 rms. Rms wattage is constant power.
Output: The voltage from the output is the strength of your signal. The SLOCII and higher have a tranformer which kinda amplifies the source signal to a higher voltage. Most RCA jacks on after market HU's have a 2-5V output.
Since they don't really say whether the wattage is peak or rms I would assume they mean peak so I would go with SLOCII because the SLOC only has a 0.2V output and a 12watt input. This means it can't handle much input power and has a pretty weak output signal. The SLOCII has a 35watt input and a 1V output. You shouldn't need anything better than that.
Hope this helps
