I'm thinking about buying it from PFYC.com when it gets off of backorder. Does anyone have this system? How does it sound? Is there anyone in the Oklahoma City area with the exhaust, maybe we can meet up and I can hear it thanks.

I have had the exhaust for a couple years now and love it. I love the tone, and the increase in gas milage that it gave me. It did seem to take several months to properly break in, before that the tone was a bit to loud and annoying for me. But after the break in period either the tone changed, or I just grew to love it. It is definatly a purchase I do not regret and I would do it again if I ever had to.

I'm wondering if the SLP sounds like a Honda, what I mean is does it have a deep tone, I don't want to sound like a weed wacker.

No it doesn't sound like a honda ricer at all.. Not even close..

Some have compared it to a Firebird's normal exhaust system but I havent heard a firebird enough to know if this is true. The tone is very deep and throating. The tone can easily be heard in the car as well so be warned on that, but I don't think you can ask for a better tone from the exhaust for a v6 engine, unless you were not wanting to add a tone at all.

yeah that sounds like good example, some of the popping noise you hear in it is what I didn't like about the exhaust. Almost made it sound like an exhaust in need of replacement, but after mine broke in it stopped doing that nearly as much compared to how it did it with every acceleration when I first got it.

Mine makes the poping noise pretty much only if I rev the engine while its idle or something. other than that well over the majority of the original poping went away after a few months of breaking in the exhaust.

I do not remember how long it took, but I I know in a few month period I put way more than 1000 miles on it so it did take a bit to break in....
