Amp and sub

Hi,
I have a 2001 Grand AM SE1 with the stock CD stereo. I simply want to add BASS.. Is there a pre-amp with a RCA out so I can hook up an amp with a sub. If so, is the pre-amp located on the glovebox side and is there wiring diagram on it?

If you mean a pre-out on the factory deck, no there is not. But you can still add an amp. You can either get a line out converter, which usually suck, or you can get an amp with high level inputs. That lets you steal signal from your rear speakers to feed into your amp. hope this helps, Lee
