Some of you may be familiar with my "oil pressure problems" thread. Turned out to be the sender unit. But, being the cheapie that I am, I have replaced it with used ones that I have found at the wreckyard. The one I have in now, sticks at max (all the way to the right) for the first 20 or 30 minutes, then it starts working (reading a normal pressure) at idle, but as soon as I give it gas it pegs all the way right again. Then about 5 minutes after that it starts working normally no matter what I do with the throttle. Once its all warmed up and everything, even if I kill the car and start it again, it works fine. Anyone have any idea what would be causing this? Could it be the wiring to the sender unit maybe?
