Have to use Meguiar's gold class wax and the polish.
Its beautiful on my black car.

Best bang for the buck without having to spend a lot.
I dont think I could spend that much on zaino.

Zymol. You pay more for it but you get what you pay for. I would do that but for a pre shine cleaner I would go with 3M. If I had to choose between the listed though Gold class is great That is what detail shops use (hush hush). Then Mothers, Zaino turtle wax so on.

I've used Turtle Wax Emerald Series, Meguiars Gold Class, Meguiars 3-step, Eagle 1 Wet, Zymol, Rain Dance, and many many others. None compared to the shine from Zaino.

Zaino! I've used Meguiar's Gold Class products on my previous vehicle, but there is no comparison to the shine and protection of Zaino. Never going to use a different product. Prepped my baby for its first winter back in October with 3 coats each of Z2 and Z5. Now after 3 snowstorms and all that salt mixed with coal cinders that the DOT puts down, the paint still feels smooth as glass with an application of Z6 after a handwashing. Nothing sticks to this stuff and the shine is still perfect

i use Zymol, it smells good and it has bees wax in it. ITs hard to get out, so that mean its a good wax :)

Zymol is the best you can buy on the market. That is all that my Concourse event friends will use. It must be good when that is the only product they will use on there $190,000+ cars. It is the only wax that is backed by the Concourse event also. They use bees wax among other things which brings out a hard shine. I have done detailing for years and that is the best. Its is like saying you have only used turtle wax all your life so you no, no better and think that product is great. The same concept goes for Zaino. It is great but when you try Zymol you realize what you have missed out on this entire time. I would put them in this order. Zymol, Zaino, Meguiars 4 step, M's Gold Class, 3M, Mothers 3 Step, Nu Finish, Diamond Hard Armorall (I know but it works real well on black), and then Turtle Wax. There is nothing wrong with Turtle Wax or even the last few but out of the list the last few protect the least. Do not use the color match Turtle wax PLEASE. It looks like it works but will eat away at your clearcoat. The car will also oxidize much quicker than it should. Does NOT protect and it is a pain in the ass to get out of the paint.

Here's an interesting comparison between Zaino, Zymol, and Meguiar's: http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html. It's not absolutely scientific, but still provides nice comparisons. I can't speak about how Zaino compares to Zymol because I haven't used it, and it would be like comparing apples to oranges given that Zaino isn't a wax.

This is why I use Zaino:
*Excellent durability, protection, and shine.
*Zaino is not wax, so it wont melt off. All waxes will melt off.
*Zaino is easier to apply and remove.
*Zaino can be applied to rubber, plastic, glass etc., without fear of graying or drying out.
*Zaino does not leave any white residue.

Just my $.02 ;)

I use Meguires Hi-Tech Yellow Wax. It lasts a long time, and when you apply it, you dont really even have to rub hard, it dissolves all the road grime, and the longer you let it sit, the better it does.

I bought a bottle of Zymol from the few good things I read here and I waxed my car today, it looks really good, and Zymol smells good too. I wanted to wax my car after I debadged it, I couldn't really justify the price and having to get a wax shipped to me (Zaino) - at least not right now, I'm pretty happy with the $12 spent on a bottle of Zymol though - I think I've washed my car 5 times in the 2 weeks I've had it. HEH I took some pictures, I'll post them when I get the rest of the film used up... I.need.a.digital.camera :(

that style of Zymol is so expensive because it was made to work with only one car. The oils and such that they use cost the company $379.00 to make that one jar. When the detail shop would order in bulk they got a better deal and I have the price list here. It would cost us $700.00 to buy a bottle. That is so expensive but they back it up and warenty it real well. If it messes up your paint they will pay up to $35,000.00 for a new paint job for your car. I think that is a good warrenty. I have always been big into there products. I have spent $220.00 on an 18oz jar but it got me a perfect 50 points on all of my cars at the Trans Am Nationals and S.T.A.R.S. (Southern Trans Am Regionals Show). I had 3 Black Trans Am's the 77' 01' and the 85' all had the original paint. I got 1st for the 01', 1st for the 77', and 2nd for the 85' (lost points on engine detailing). I think it is worth it.
