::clears throat:: good evening gentlemen, actually its good morning. Anyway, my question is probably a waste of time haha. Here it goes.. why are grand am's called N-bodies?? I've heard so many people refir to it as that but i've never actually truly known why?

why are grand am's called N-bodies??

The N-body refers to the Vehicle Platform Code.
Vehicle platform codes are internal codes given to vehicles in-house by the vehicle maker, which identifies internally what family the vehicle belongs to.
