I have a little problem... well not little lol.. either way Im running 4" Eclipse SP8942 up front and Pioneer TS-D690R 6x9's off a Pioneer DEH-P5500MP head unit... the SP8942's are bass capped..
well my problem is whenever i turn my volume up with any amount of bass going, the whole system cuts out for the rest of the bass line.. I can make it a little better by turning down the bass.. but thats not hte point really, i want it working again.. it was working fine until a few days ago... Ive tried everything i can think off. I checked every connection, every speaker seperately, i even tried a new ground.. but i still have the problem.. Any ideas would be greatly appricated.. Thanks.

You have a blown speaker. When you turn up the volume your deck sees the low ohm load of the blown speaker and it shorts out and shuts down. At least that is what it sounds like. Find the worst sounding speaker and disconnect it then see what happens. What do you mean by turn up the bass. putting the bass on 0 or +6? Lee

ive went threw every speaker and tested it seperatly and with different combos. no matter what i do whenever i turn it up it starts to cut out

But what bass setting are you putting it on. If you are trying to put it on +6 like I see all the time then you are trying to over drive the speakers and the deck dosen't like it. If thats not the case then maybe you need to take your deck in to get fixed or traded out. What ohm load did you come up with on the speakers. Lee
