I just got my car back, I stuck the sub box back in the trunk and re-connected all my wires and turn the car on, and my amp isn't getting any power :???: :???: I checked my fuses, checked my ground, and I can't find anything, any ideas?

Might be a stupid question, but did you hook up the remote turn on wire?
Definately not a solution, but you can jump a wire from the battery lead to the remote turn on terminal. This will keep the amp on continously (it won't shut off) but if it does turn on you can suspect theres something up with your remote turn on wire....maybe its pinched.

ok, I've been thinking about it, all I did when I took out the box was unhook all of the wiring and tuck it under the spare tire cover in the trunk, could it have grounded out or something? the fuse looked like it may have had a power surge or something, it was discolored

Now are those wires the power, ground, remote wires or just the speaker wires. If its the before mentioned then you probably grounded out the power and remote turn on wire. the power wire should have burned open its inline fuse and the remote wire probably just burned out. If thats true then replace the fuse and find an ignition source to run the remote wire to. good luck, Lee

good point I didn't even consider that. If you didn't remove the inline fuse you more than likely blew that fuse. Just double check, and replace it. If your amp still dosen't power up like btchn1 said, your going to have to find another switched power source for remote turn on as you may have burned it out on the deck, but try replacing you inline fuse on your battery first.

will I have to go back to ABC warehouse or can I pick one up at auto zone?

If its the big AGU glass fuse I think only stereo shops have them but if its the big Blade type fuse then autozone should have them. Let us know how it turns out. Lee

ok, it was a blown fuse, nobody in Battle Creek or Marshall had a 40 amp inline fuse, so I replaced it with a 60 amp

Moving to a higher amp fuse isn't always the best thing to do, but ok in a pinch. I'd lay off the system cranking until you found yourself the propper amperage fuse. Should a problem occur it will take longer for the bigger fuse to pop and may cause more damage before it went. Chances are thatyou'll be alright, but you never know when something mght go wrong.
