K, i'm going to be just taking the top off of my air box, and puting in a K&N cone filter. Has anyone else here done that, and if so, what size filter did you get? BTW, you dont have to post to tell me to get a CAI.....I dont want the risk of getting the filter wet, because we get some heavy snow up here. I know that its a slim chance, but if it happend i wouldnt have the money to fix it. So all i'm asking is the right size filter. Thanks

you should ask Red99GAGT, since he supplies alot of members here with custom CAI kits, and he would know the actual # of the filter.

I'm sure someone else has done this with their 3400. If you have let me know what size filter you used.

ok...all i need to know is what size inlet i need....can someone please help me? Its 3 inches right?

yes the inlet is 3 inches!.....and i wont tell you to get a CAI:D

thank you, i didnt want to come across sounding mean, but whenever i post something about a WAI everyone tells me to get a CAI, and that doesnt help at all! :)

you should build a heat shield box then so you don't get as much hot air

goto a checker auto store.. get a 9" cone filter.. it is 62.99.... im from bloomington so if you need help or want to see what it looks like come on down.. and yesi agree with the CAI ... it snows and rains alot here.... haha... u need help installing it just ask.. it takes like 20 minutes top....
