Such as offroading, drivin through a flooded road believing you could make it..but not, or anything like that, be creative.
------
As for me.. My friend an I were drivin around, and we saw this dirt road leading up into woods. He says "lets check that out" I don't know why I agreed but I said okay. So I turn and drive up into it. After what seemed to be forever we came up to this clearing in the woods... There we saw some man holding a rifle, and this SUV which was in the process of reversing. I never turned around and bolted outta there so fast.. Yeah.. GA's were not designed for goin quick down a dirt path with trees on either side, but I held the road!

Hmm yeah, since it snows arround here and the snow is up the bumper so it's like 4 wheeling in the snow. cause arround here snow plow trucks don't hit my street and if they do they just plow us back in.

well, I avn't really did anything wierd in the DeVIle yet.....
....although today I got air off a jump
there is this huge hump in the road, it is ust like a jump, and the speed limit is 40, and the car wants to lift even at that speed, Well, I was following my friend today, who speeds like crazy, so weare doing 60 down this road, and I hit that, the whole front end came up, steering got extremly light, and when i came down, the tires chippered quite I bit, I was like hell yeah!, funny thing was, the way my suspension is, when the car came down, I didn't feel it at all.......
....I thought about taking my car off roading, but since i foudn out the front end on the car is as good as new and coudln't be better, I am hesitant to do anything that will wear it down faster.

I was out delivering a computer to a client once on a dirt road. This was before I had my new rims/tires or I wouldn't have done it. :D
Anyway, it was about 10 miles down a windy, confusing dirt road which they were in the process of grating. They grated 1/2 of the road, and left the other halfe. I was driving along and all of a sudden the 4-8 inch high pile of rocks/dirt where they stopped grating was going to the side of the road right in front of me....... no choice but to listen to the "thump" and drive over it.
Then, on the way back it began POURING down rain and there was a low water bridge which had water rushing over it. I didn't get out to see how deep it was, but I would guess between 3 and 6 inches. There was a woman off to the side in a Honda said she was going to take another way out.
I sat there for a moment thinking about what I had seen on TV...... if you don't want to get washed away, don't stop! So I backed up and got a good run at it, threw water all over the top of the car and up the sides..... but I didn't get washed away. :)
Would I do that now with my good rims and tires? Negative, no dirt roads for me. I <3 my car now. :angel1:

Just the usual 4x4 action on the snow. Oh, and this one time I was going down a country road and I see this sign that says SLOW. I'm like, whatever, then I see this section of pavement missing and then all I see is this piece of dirt. Apparently they were running some kind of drains across the road and they just put the dirt back on it and went home. Well, I didn't have enough time to slow down and THUMP! Hit the edge of the pavement really hard. It didn't do anything to the wheel, but it taught me that when it says SLOW, it's not an insult to your intelligence, they're telling you to actually slow down :D

All the time when i go down to my firend dad house in the country. ETC does not work for me :D. The car cuts back on power. Now that i got my back brakes tight it going to be so much fun down there. When I get a D. Camera I will take so good muddy pics of the GA. The GA has a frame to handle the pot holes and can turn on a dime too :P. We also built a hump down there to. The fastest I hit it was at 50-55, got some good air and i have not broke my air damn yet. My other friend has a 3.0 Vulcan(140hp) Taurus he hits it at 45mph has tranny is retard-slow-shifing. The other one has a 2.3HSC tempo (90hp) he hit it at 50

I also have a Jeep Cherokee, and participate in the local Jeep club (AZ_vjc - Arizona Virtual Jeep Club).
A year and a half ago, there was a massive bar-be-cue at an off-road fab shop. 130 jeeps showed up, but mine was broken so I drove the GA GT.
Jeep drivers have a 12 foot long, 20* ramp that they drive onto with one side of the vehicle, to test the flexibility of the suspension. Kinda simulates crawling over rocks and fallen logs, and helps find weaknesses and rub-points in the chassis.
Well, after a few beers and with a little 'coaching' from my buddies, it was determined we needed to see how a Grand Am will 'ramp':
http://www.azvjc.org/pics/2451_02428213117.jpg
Verdict: Not well at all (the left rear tire was 18 inches in the air  )
It wasn't 'til I descended and saw some other photos that I realized the rr tire was only gripping about a 1" edge of the ramp, and the rim was beyond the ramp edge.

You guys want to talk snow! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, and we get more snow up here in one winter than most of you americans have seen in your entire life. not that that's a good thing :( Anyway I remember one snow storm last year where me and my friends decided to go play with my GA in the snow. We went from street to street hitting the E-brake and sliding out of control but man that was so fun. Just think of hitting your E-brake and sliding in circles from just the tap of the brake once wow that was so fun. Eventually I hit a snowbank pretty hard and called it a night, but thank-god there was no damage:D

That's too awesome! I used to be pretty heavy into the off-road scene! Not too often you see a car on a ramp like that. Did you calculate the RTI?

Not a formal calculation.
The left rear went airborne so quickly, I was only about 2 feet up the ramp/8" vertical. With 96"wb = 8/96 = 1/8 = 12.5% = 125 RTI.
The Hummer only scored 200, and was tipping toward a roll-off when they stopped.
LOL, with the plastic air dams, I had to ramp backward, and even then they had to position the ramp sideways under the tire.
I placed complete faith in my spotters, couldn't have gotten up or down safely myself.

I could post for six days straight on this subject. i wont tho. Lets just say my grand am has dented floorboards and gas tanks, has been airborn more times than it has been washed, and The cv shafts are like a routine matinance on her. I have taken this car places many people wouldnt take their truck, and have taken it to the limits repeatedly.

I've been using my GA as moving van for the last 2 weeks and I tried doing my impression of NOAH a while back.
The area near the X (including her basement) flooded afer a round of T-Storms dumped 3" of rain in two hours. I went to see if the kids needed some of their stuff rescued... and drove through a truly absurd puddle....
I had water breaking against the windshield! (I think the puddle was about 2 foot deep.) ...

Nothing with our GA's, but my Subaru I used to beat the snot out of.
I rally'd against my buddies '98 Silverado around my job with about 4"s of snow on the ground. Lets jsut say if I wasn't so afraid of how far the ass of his truck swung in the turns I would have lapped him. I kept it in a drift almost the entire race.
And this kid that worked there was showing off in his '89 Ford F150 and got stuck in the snow/mud behind work. After he dug huge ruts trying to get out, I bet him $5 that my car would go thought it with no problem. And it did. I flex the floor flex like mad but it made it, then I turned around and went back though it to rub it in.
Boy I miss that lil beater.

Well my old GA caught fire in a Meijer's parking lot. That's about the most interesting thing that happened to my car. It worked out well, I was sad for a little while but then the insurance company decided it would be nice to send me a check to cheer me up :). They are so caring.

When I was Clayton County Iowa, I turned onto the wrong dirt road, so I figured I would turn hard left off the road, do a three point and be on my merry way. WRONG! I put it into reverse and the tires had no grip, becuase I pulled into a rutty field. I said "fuc it" drove thru the field, scraping my underside, and got back on the road. Try doing that in a car lowered 2 1/2"!
In the winter, I love to find big open parking lots so I can do E-brake slides, ya know "look! Im Colin McCrae! Wheee!" The kind where your sliding, then hit the gas and go forward, pull the E-brake again and cock the wheel all the way to the left/right, and do a big U-ee. =P

My friend did that last year in a Kmart parking lot and hit one of those big cement cylinders they put at the base of the lot lights. He walked away from it, but the car has a nice sized dent now.

Well my friend and i decided to play with the carriages. I went full speed ahead (prolly 45) towards a cart, hit it and it went FLYING. its musta went at least 20 -30 ft....i laughed so damn hard i thought i would bust a vein in my forhead....but then the fun was over whena popo came in the lot. he didnt stop me he jsut gave me a visual warning. as for my GA , sry...the only strange thing i have done yet...is bringing it off roading, but i didnt go hog wild at it...sry but i need this car for at least another year and a half.

Way back in the day I worked at Kmart, And we used to go out and get carriges, which meant a shitty job in the winter, so I would keep beer and schmirnoff on my trunk to warm us up. Those nights after work we all would beat the piss out of our cars in the parking lot. I hit a carriage doing about 30mph sideways. The thing went flying for a good 20 feet. Left a nice hugh scratch right infront of my gas cap door. On a saturday or sunday morning after a fresh snow, i would come in in the morning and the lot would have maybee two cars in it. There would sometimes be a fresh coat of snow or ice on the lot, never had do much fun with my car in my life.
