OK, my front bumper looks like it has taken the lives of many bugs. I washed and washed it, but some of those lil splatter marks will not go away.
What do you use to get rid of those goo marks?
Thanks.

I've heard of people using everything from tar & bug remover to WD40. A claybar has worked well for me in the past, and you don't have to worry about damaging the clearcoat. It takes surface and embedded contaminants off easily with minimal effort.

you might want to give Mother's or Meguiars paint remover or ScratchX a try. i know the bugs aren't scratches, but the ScratchX just acts as a stronger paint cleaner. :) that should do the trick.

I wouldn't doubt it if those bugs have become part of your finish. If you leave them on too long they cannot be washed off. I work at a carwash and there was an article in Popular Mechanics about it.

He may be right. They may not come out. The materials (acids) in a bugs body will eat through a clearcoat like no ones business. They will eventually eat its way into the paint. Try a bug and Tar remover. Then buy some 3M paint cleaner. It should help pull the bugs up to the surface. After that try a clay bar. Last but not least use a polishing compound or rubbing compound (be sooooo careful) don't scrub hard at all with the rubbing compound. If you do bugs may not be the only problem with your the paint on the front bumper.
