Okay, with winter just around the corner I figured it would be a good time to start saving for next summer, because I have big car-related plans. The only thing is that I can`t decide whether or not to keep my 97 and mod it some more or sell it and buy a 99-02 GT. Any suggestions?

Hey I`m liking your opinions :D I figure though I have until April to decide, but I figure if I decide to get a new car, I have about $3300 left on my loan for my current car. I guess I could sell mine outright, prolly break even with the loan and take what I get from income tax and use it as a down payment.
So, what do you guys think I should do with having $3300 left to pay on my car?

'Sounds like a plan to me (you and I think alike; LOL). That's what I was going to do also, but decided I couldn't wait that long (my G/A was starting to scare me w/ all of its little problems I couldn't figure out). Just make sure you can afford the payments. I wish I could have afforded a new car when I was in college, but had to make do w/ a s*** brown '86 Cavalier wagon; LOL! :roll2: At least it was (surprisingly) reliable throughout, save for the broken A/C ('good thing I lived in the great white north back then! haha).

I definitely say NEW... the newer models just feel nicer than the pre-99 models (sorry for those of you with said models)!
Not to mention, the 99+ models just look BAD-AZZ!

I think since we live in the same state you should come take a look at my 99 GAGT1
After looking you should buy it:D

I would say save up and buy a newer one, I just moved up from a 95 GAGT to a 2003 Grand Am SC/T and I LOVE IT!!! You will not be sorry for getting the newer one, it looks so much better and it is a lot quicker IMO.

If I were you you should start trying to sell it now. It will take you some time to sell it. We tried to sell my first car and we gave up and ended up keeping it and just buying me another car. Then when I wanted a new car we didn't have enough time to sell it out right so we took a loss and traded it in.
