You know, if you're going to put one of those in there, you might as well shove one in the trunk too, and have AWD!

oh yeah, it was only the biggest engine ever put in a production car (at least here in the US, which probally means the whole world) technically, the '70 Eldo was the only car to get the 400hp/550ft lbs version, as after that, they were rated differnt and the smog and emmsions really clogged them up....although that can all be removed :D

Anyway, here is a '76 Eldorado, personally I love this car, it is amazing, 2door, drop top, has very classic styling, it is just a really great looking car.......and if there was one short coming, it would be......

.......the FWD

:D now your talking my language. lol. i know a guy that built a 502 chevy to have 750+hp and something like 900 lb. ft. i don't remember exact numbers, but you get the idea. insane horsepower and even worse torque.

if your parents just happen to have probably 50,000 (?) in your college fund i'd try to shove a porsche 911 turbo motor in there.:D

This all depends on your definition of "production". Should you mean a factory production motor, then not even the Viper is biggest. There is the little beast called ZZ572 coming soon to a GM dealer near you. She is only a mere 9.3 liters.

If you choose to include the aftermarket production motors, you must count the Falconer V12. This one is just shy of 9.9 liters.

These two motors are the biggest "stock" block production engines on the market. You can take either one and do a little machining and make them even bigger. But for the sake of this discussion, we won't count those.

It would be nice if GM ever started mass producing that Cadillac Sixteen's engine. I think it was like....13 liters?

It tips the scale at 13.6 liters, but until this thing hits the streets, which is highly unlikely, it can't be called a production motor. However, there is good chances of the 12 cylinder variant seeing production in the Escalade. This one will only be around 7 liters though.

A side note to the Falconer .... It can be punched out to 10.5 liters max.
