Hey, that's not bad. The hood can be easily repaired & you'll need a headlight & fender. & also whatever may be been damaged behind it. Look on the bright side, Atleast your bumperskin looks ok & I assume your airbags didn't deploy? I know it sucks that you just got it back but it coulda been alot worse right? I like I siad, that hood can be fixed in no time.

OUCH!
I had someone run into me once. Cracked my bumper pretty good and pushed my fender in a little bit. Thank God there wasn't any damage to the headlight or the hood, and that the only visible damages are a few cracks on the bumper. Everything remained in place and the car is driveable. I'm waiting to get my new springs and suspension to find out how much I'm going to be bumping into stuff like curbs, speed bumps, etc, before I get it fixed. Anyways, I hope you get it fixed soon. That's a sweet looking car.

Yeah, that'll buff right out. :D :D
It looks like the impact wasn't hard enough toactivate the air bags. THOSE suckers are $$$$$.
Tough luck.
Any chance it was caused by faulty brake or other work by the shop?
If so,
1. They should do the repairs free-of-charge.
2. It's no points/no ticket to you.
just a thought.

Man...that BLOWS! There seems to be a trend lately will GA accidents. Either that...or thats all I'm noticing people posting.
I once crashed into the back if a mini-van with my old car, a '95 Saturn SL2. Talk about hood damage. The front of my car was so low and the back bumber of the van was so high, I went right under. About 60% the length of the hood went under. It was my fault obviously for rear ending someone but it shouldn't of happened. This "female dog" stopped on a main road to let someone coming off of a side street out. You DON'T stop on a main road to let someone out, you just don't do that people. I eventually got it fixed foro about $1000. Then I traded it in for my GA! :)

I almost ran into someone on the beltway and the person behind me almost ran into me. It was due to the traffic coming to an abrupt stop. I was slowing down then all of a sudden, the vehicle in front of me does a hard stop and I have to do the same. I felt the ABS kick in. The guy behind me had to do the same and I heard the skretching tires from his car since he doesn't have ABS. I almost thought the guy behind me was gonna hit me. There were a 2 accidents that I past because the same thing happened to them. I wasn't even following that close.

The girl who hit me.. She drove a Saturn around that year. It totally messed up her front, everything when she rear ended me. Then a 4runner hit her and that was just as bad, her whole back end went in a few. It was weird with her hood though cause it crinkled up like half way or more and her bumper was destroyed, but the only damage to my bumper was scratches and crack, well and she messed up my whole exhaust..

you guys think they can fix the hood, its cracked all the way through, kinda in a spiderwed pattern. It was like 35 degrees out when i did it so it was nice and brittle. i am getting it fixed, the good thing is it didn't damage nething behind the light, i was only going like 10-15 mph when it happened. well i hope they can fix the hood, i'm sure the insurance company wont like the bill for a new one of those :roll2: well thanx for the support all, reminds me of why i post here:angel1: .

wow, that bodyshop is gonna be best friends with you.....
....how fast were you going? that looks like a good amount of damage for a slow rear-ending.....
I'd watch out for insurance, that's gonna be a killer, how much damage was done to the other car?
Glad you, and everything else is ok though...

sorry about the luck (or lack thereof). As others have said, the damage isn't too bad, especially for rear ending someone.
Sorry I didn't research your car, but is that a factory sc/t hood and if not, does the insurance cover aftermarket parts/add ons?

the headlight...lol its in about 1000 pieces, the other cars rear bumper hit it directly and it kinda exploded all over the road. i spent a good 2 hours picking pieces out of the hole where the light once was. unfortunatly i work untill midnight-1am every night so i have to drive home with just the fogs. .

yes its stock..thank god, the only thing the insurance wont cover is the underbody neon tube that shattered and the graphix works stuff, but thats expected :2up:
