This past weekend, we went up to Canada and visited RSM Racing. I also met Frank (TO2FST) and another guy named Bobby while we were there. I took a couple pictures of Frank's car. They didn't turn out the greatest, but here they are!

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Bobby's GA, but that thing is intense. Apparently it's stroked out to a 3.7L. I told him about this site. :yippee:
And finally, since my Barney-looking Cavaqueer is no longer a daily driver, I had to buy another car. It's a 2000 GAGT with all the goodies (leather, moonroof, etc). I can definitely tell a difference between the two cars. I feel like I'm cruisin' in luxury rather than a cracker jack box. hehe I just wish it were a 5-speed!

I already have lowering springs and an intake on the way. :D Oh yeah.. and if anyone wants to see a list of mods or pics of the Cav, go here (http://www.bradiscool.com/JJ/z24f.html).
I'm glad to "officially" be a part of the GA family now!

Nice looking car Jenny!!! The Cavi is nice too; although, they are alittle small for my taste ... I appreciate all the obvious work that went into it though :D

Thanks everyone!
And yeah... Canada is COOOOOOOOLD!!!!
One last thing. I found out that my 17" Konig Verdicts (Black Opal) that are on the Cavaqueer have a universal 5-lug so I can put them on the GA! :D Getting 19's for the Cav. hehe

nice cavy, and i love the super!! though I have to admit i could never fit in one, as with kelly they just dont go well with my frame, last time I tried driving a compact, was in driver training, they told me a 02 civic would fit me fine, HA! yea right! my friggin head had to stick out the sunroof! you have no idea how uncomfortable it is to drive with your head at an angle especially when its raining! they just dont make cars for us 6'4" guys do they?

Welcome to real car ownership. :D
Like what you've done with the Cav. The back's a bit ricey for me, but the rest is pure class. Very good work.

Yeah, RSM is the greatest! :D
And I'm only 5'3" but I can see where you would have an issue. hehe
All we've really done to the rear is shave the inner tails, trunk lock, and factory spoiler holes, went with no wing (I hate wings, especially aluminum ones), and put old school clear tails. The clear tails are really rare. I do have a set of altezza's but they look REALLY dumb when they're just the outers. The only other thing I would do is maybe a set of toyota cavalier outer tails. But that's about it. The stock ones are too plain. My Z will always be my favorite. :) You gotta love over 200hp AND 200tq on a 4 cylinder. :agree:

I can't find my dyno sheets right now. They are somewhere on my desk.
But.... Here is a link to a video of my car on the dyno. :D Warning! It's over 2MB. Click here (http://www.bradiscool.com/JJ/movies/dyno.MP4)
We took my Z to the track and on the first run, something strange happened. When I went to shift into 4th, it's like there was no 4th and the rpm's just skyrocketted. So I put it in neutral and coasted the rest of the way. When I put it back into gear to drive back to the stands, the tranny was making a weird noise. You know the noise a manual tranny makes when it goes in reverse? Well my tranny now does that in all forward gears. The faster you go, the quicker it whines and the louder it gets. So we drove 3 hours home like this and luckily made it all the way. After we got home, we asked a GM service tech what he thought it would be, and he said it sounds like the input shaft bearing. A couple weeks later, my husband got under the car just to see if anything looked odd. Well.. he found something very odd. It seems as though I broke the tranny mounts that are actually welded to the frame of the car!!! Apparently the tranny dropped (from the mounts breaking) and now it's making that whining sound because it isn't sitting correctly on the input shaft.
Long story short, we told RSM about this. Their response was "Holy crap!" We tell them... "Yeah.. we are just THAT fast." LoL It's a big joke between us now. hehe
So there ya have it. I will be getting bigger injectors soon because mine are maxing out at 4500rpms. Once I get those, I will go back to the dyno (broken tranny or not). I won't be running it on the track until the tranny and tranny mounts are fixed. I expect to gain a lot more power on the dyno since the injectors are maxing out at 4500rpms. Redline is at 6450rpms and with the supercharger, you gain more power the higher rpms you go. The same goes with the boost. I'm not even getting full boost until close to redline. I can't wait to go back. :D

Hehehe, I had no idea you were a girl, when i first saw you were 5'4" I thought " damn, this dude is short as hell!" Its a funny fact to see that im a complete foot taller than you, hehe, oh, good luck with the tranny, thats the problem with modding cars, you can only mod so much before you need a better transmission to keep up.

LoL.. yep! And the Isuzu tranny in the 2.4's is FAR from reliable.

If you find a solution to that problem let us know

Actually, we have found a possible solution. If you can get your hands on a 5-speed tranny from an Olds Achieva SCX, AND if it bolts up, you should be set. That tranny is meant to handle over 200hp.
Good luck finding one. :(
I'll be on my 3rd tranny when we get the new one in. I hate the Isuzu tranny with a passion.

If I remember right I believe Fbod told me the older 2.3 getrag wouldn't bolt right up.

Our latest purchase is a tranny from a 95 Cav with the 2.3L. We haven't tried to install it yet or even see if it may bolt up. We got it for free, so at least we didn't waste any money on that one. :) I wish I could buy a performance tranny. After all these hassles, I'd gladly pay the money for one!
